ODOR REMOVER

ACTIVATED CARBON V BANK (ODOUR CONTROL SYSTEM)EACF SERIES

ESPAIR™ TMODOR REMOVER EACF Series Carbon V bank are designed to remove and control gas / vapor contaminants. It can be incorporated downstream side to the ESPAIRTM KET Series Electrostatic Air Cleaner units specifically for the control of cooking odour and other VOCs.

Flat panel filters filled with activated carbon arearranged in V-configuration in filter housing with pre and after media filters. Filter thickness and no. of trays are configured in a way to achieve the required air volume with minimum pressure drop and high residential time.

GENERAL CHARACTERSTICS

Activated carbon is acknowledged in the industry as a tried and tested gas adsorbent with various applications. Organic compounds are retained on the surface of the carbon by the Van der Waals forces or weak inter-molecular forces.

Activated carbon is a form of carbon processed to be riddled with small, low-volume pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions.Due to its high degree of microporosity, just one gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 500 m2.

Activated Carbon is manufactured by the controlled burning of such carbon rich materials as coal, wood and nut shell,Then through steam or chemically activated carbon.

ESPAIR™ activated carbon filters shall be CTC activity of above 60% (CCl4) measured by ASTM standard test method D3467-88. A CTC activity value of 60% shall absorb 60% of its weight in CCl4.

Chemically impregnated carbons are available to better control of both acid and base gases such as H2S, SO2, NOx, HCl, HF, Methyl Mercaptan, active sulphur composites, ammonia, formaldehyde and highly volatile radioactive organic iodides in Air and CO2.

ESPAIR Activated Carbon

ESPAIR™ activated carbon are coal-based carbon with CTC activity rate at least 60% and iodine rating of 1050mg. Various Impregnated carbon are used for different applications to remove specific or various vapours or fumes.

CA1: Organic Vapours and odours

CA2: Impregnated carbon for Acid fumes

CA4: Impregnated for acid, alkaline and various fumes
