Today the Indoor air quality in commercial buildings is barely satisfactory and because of Indoor air pollutants “Sick Building Syndrome” exists in many commercial buildings. Indoor air pollution is among the top five environmental health risks.
Indoor air pollutants like smoke, dust, pollen, tiny microorganisms, fumes etc. are unwanted and harmful. Therefore having a good and reliable air filtration system has become a necessity for improving the quality of indoor air. These “Indoor Air Cleaners” use a process called electrostatic attraction to trap charged particles. They draw air through an ionization section where particles obtain an electrical charge. The charged particles then accumulate on a series of flat plates called a collector that is oppositely charged.
